Growing up, both my parents worked for a daycare center. At the age of 10 I began volunteering with the center and by the time I was 14 I ran my own classroom of 10+ 3 year olds. Aside from my work in daycare, I have had many other child care related experiences. I have been a babysitter for 2 wonderful families, one having a new born daughter, and another having a 2 year old that I have taken care of for 5 years (she will be 7 in June). I have also worked with several local community theaters who have theatre camps for small children (ages 4-14) . And finally, I have experience working with special needs children, as I myself have an autistic step-brother.
