Simply saying, "I enjoy working with children", is an understatement. In high school and during the beginning of my college career I worked at a children's center over Christmas breaks and summers. While I worked there I gained experience working with children between 18 mo - 13yrs old. I mainly co-taught with another teacher in a school-aged classroom with around 20, 6-8 yr olds. In conjunction with this I babysat for 3 different families- each with approximately 3 children, ages varying from infancy to early teens. I enjoy interacting with children in multiple settings - in home and in the community. My experience also includes working with individuals on the spectrum. My previous employment was with the Texas Young Autism Project, in which I had the pleasure of implementing programs to improve daily functioning within children ages 2 to 17.
