I am going into Elementary education and therefore have had some experience in the schools with children. I have also worked as a camp counselor for the girl scouts in the summer. With that job, I helped children from 1st grade age up to high school. I helped the children get ready for bed, learn camp skills, get them ready in the morning, and watched out for their mental, emotional, and physical health. Basically, I was in charge of a group of 8 children for a week, and became their nanny at camp if you will. I have also tutored students in small groups through volunteering at public schools. I love to help children with their homework. When the light bulb goes on, it's a wonderful thing. Sharing with them in the excitement gives them just that much more motivation to keep going. I helped with their activities and planned a few different lessons for them. I love to be with children and entertain them. I love that they learn through play and enjoy learning with them.
