Hello, my name is Whitney Gammell. I grew up in North Ogden, but have been living in Ephraim for the past two years while I was going to Snow College. I recently got married and my husband and I are moving back to North Ogden at the end of April. I love children and would love to have the opportunity of working with them. Here is a little bit about my experiences with children; Ever since I was a little girl I have loved being around children. When I was younger I babysat my neighbors and cousins, and I loved it. When I got old enough I got a job helping with summer camps for North Ogden City recreation. After a couple years I became the director and was in charge of planning all of the summer camps. Some of the camps we had were: arts and crafts, adventure camp, Read more science camp and even a princess camp. I loved the summer camps because I was able to be with kids all day. When I was in high school I worked at two preschools (wee weber and smartypants) and I also had internships where I worked with children with special needs. This past summer I also did respit care for a 19 year old girl with down syndrome. I loved working with special needs children so much that I have actually decided to pursue a career in special education. I will be getting my degree in early childhood special educstion from Utah State. I absolutely love working with children!
