I am a married forrmer RN with a 13 year-old son. i orginally graduated from BYU as an athletic trainer. It was a fun job as I am passionate about sports and medicine. After getting married we quickly knew having a child of our own would be hard. Eventually we were successful on our 5th try - a 30-week perfect boy. The journey getting him however drove me to go back to school to get my RN license. empathize with the fears and questions parents needed. Unfortunately about 7 years into my career I was diagnosed witth Lupus and I had to take medical leave from nursing. I am very fortunate now however to be 2yrs in remission. I have not worked for about 6 years so no paid job experience as a babysitter, however have references from various neighbors. Some I have watched grow for over 4 years. I Read more have also coached neighbor's children in various sports. With my son entering high school next year I would love to spend my extra time doing what I like best. I have watched infants to high school age.kinds of children and am comfortable with children with ADHD, mild autism and infants with special needs. As I mentioned although I am not a registered nurse any longer I was certified as an EMT, infant, child and adult CPR, first-aid and of course the knowledge to watch for emergencies and make decisions very quickly as to what needs to happen with a sick or injured child. I have a reliable vehicle and getting kids to/from school or to activities is second nature. Ideally I would like half days or 2 all day situations but am pretty flexible. I am open to any number of children however transportation wise I drive a jeep grand cherokee Laredo so I am limited space wise room for 3 children or car seats/ boosters in the back. I am able to start immediately for the right situation. I am flexible but would like a days notice. I would prefer 24 hrs at most. But would consider different options if necessary.
