I became a babysitter because I think it's a fun job that involves a lot of attention and creativity to the kids. I have a little brother who is 10 years old so that has taught me a lot. In addition, while attending college at American University, I have babysat for 2 families in the area. One family lived in DC/Georgetown, 2 boys (7 years old and 11). Duties: picking up from school, giving a snack, helping out with homework, coordinating play dates, sleepovers, etc. 3 years exp. Another family lived in Arlington. 2 boys (7 years old and 12), one girl (10). Duties: picking up from bus stop, preparing a snack (gluten free and peanut allergies), helping with homework, coordinating play dates, dropping off to doctors, dropping off to sports, etc. Exp of 4 years.
