I am a mother of five and my children are married, in college or striking it out on their own. In answering my friends' questions about "what are you going to do when the kids are out?", I've enjoyed doing what I was good at doing for 29 years, having nannied since the summer of 2011 (I also nannied to prior to getting married). I'm well familiar with the routine of seeing the children off to school (or greeting them when they return home), driving them to activities, packing lunches and preparing other meals, doing children's laundry, light housework and playing games. On occasion, I've tapped into my 20 years' experience as a home-schooling mom and tutored children in reading, writing and arithmetic. I've nannied for families with toddlers up to early teenagers, and am fine with getting outside and playing; I helped coach my youngest daughters' U13 soccer team Read more for a couple of seasons and have given flute lessons. In a recent job, I worked with a child with special needs; although not a licensed therapist, I accompanied the child to therapy sessions and helped the child through exercises between sessions. I attended Longwood College for three years, majoring in business management with a minor in psychology; most of my psych courses were related to childhood development and the family dynamic. I have a perfect driving record and am very reliable and hardworking.
