Hi my name is Cortney and I’m a 40 year old professional looking to nanny/babysit while I look for full-time work. I am currently working 20-25 hours a week as a nanny for one family on weekends and some early mornings. SO I have some availability during the day and evenings dependent on the needs of the other family I nanny. I was employed in the U.S, Senate then in government affairs for two different trade associations. I am originally from Cleveland Ohio where my family still lives. I got my undergrad from the University of Toledo and a Masters from the University of Denver. I am currently looking for full-time work while doing some part-time consulting. I have been also working as a part-time nanny for a family of two boys age 6 and 3 for the last two years. When I was in graduate school in Denver a Read more few years ago I was a part-time nanny for a 1 year old for several years. Both families are available as references. I have been an active babysitter since I was 12 years old. I have watched all ages and number of kids in a family. I have been certified in First Aide and CPR numerous times over the years. Cortney Hazen is a great nanny. Over the last one and a half years, Cortney has done a tremendous job taking care of my toddler son (now 2.5yrs). She reads to him constantly, takes him to the park to play and even drives him to music and gymnastics classes. She is extremely dependable, working every 3-4 days a week, as I’ve needed—only once missing a scheduled day due to illness. Of Cortney’s strengths—and there are many—her greatest are her reliability and the way she is with Cavan. She devotes her full attention to Cavan, ensuring he eats enough, takes a good nap, and teaches him his alphabet, numbers and states. They work on puzzles together, build castles, and read a lot of curious George – her tolerance of the repetition is a testament to her character. She always treats Cavan with love and draws good boundaries for him. She is gentle, but firm with her discipline and works well within out family culture.
