I am a first grade teacher and have previously taught kindergarten. I have been teaching for 6 years now in the area. I have also tutored kindergarten, first and second graders in reading. I coach a girls running club, grades 3-5 for a Fall and Spring season with a focus on positive self esteem and healthy habits. I regularly babysat in college for different families with children ages 3-8. I was also a lead camp counselor during the summer in college. I created many programs and activities for the 6-7-year-old age group. My Master's focus was reading, language and literacy, thus I am skilled in teaching reading skills, particularly early literacy skills. I currently teach all subjects and would love to help with homework and foster education in your current household! I live a healthy lifestyle and encourage my students to do so as well when it comes to exercise Read more and eating habits, as well as healthy emotional habits, such as expressing your emotions. I have been with my current class for two years and have watch them grow into outstanding citizens. I love giving my students new experiences, such as class pets. We currently have pet worms, pet caterpillars and a pet fish. Last year we had pet ants! I am looking for occasional babysitting on weeknights or weekends.
