I am a mother of two adult children, a boy & a girl, & believe in creating a happy & peaceful environment for children to learn, explore & be creative. In college, I studied psychology & took courses such as, Early Childhood Development. I am young at heart & get along well with infants to teens providing a calm & respectful environment for them. I am always ready to read or play with them, & enjoy helping, if needed, w/homework. I would be happy to drive your child(ren) to their activities, or other appointments. Preparing snacks & Read more meals are no problem. Prior to being a Nanny, I worked for The Transportation Security Admin. (TSA) & the Department of the Navy & held both a Secret Clearance & a Homeland Security Clearance during the past 30 years. As you probably know, that means that I have had separate & extensive background checks for both of these clearances. However, I have also provided you with a background check through this site. I have worked as a full-time (40+ hrs) Nanny taking care of as many as four children at a time, ranging in ages from 20 months to 8 years; I have been a Nanny and/or Sitter for babies, pre-kindergarteners, elementary school children, and teenagers taking them to lessons, doctor appointments, shopping, movies, the pool, bowling, playgrounds, and nature centers. I have also worked as a Mother’s Helper taking care of a young baby freeing her mother to do other choirs in and out of the home. I am certified in CPR and FIRST AIDE. I will be available to start a new position on September 8th, when children return to school. I highly recommend Karen as a childcare. Karen helped me with afterschool childcare for my 9 year old son three days a week. She is well prepared and organized for her job. She is on time to pick up my son from school and to drive him to activities. She helped with his homework. She searched and prepared to help my son's school projects so he can fully understand while also having fun. She makes notes about important things, is always patient, accurate and reliable. Also my son enjoyed being with her. Unfortunately my situation changed, so I don't need childcare anymore. I am sure she will do a great job with any duties given to her.
