Raised in a household that was always full of children, I grew a great love for working with them. My mother was a childcare provider for 15 years of my life so children were always in and out of our house. I learned how to take of kids through the environment she provided. It really fostered my love for children and passion for working with them and enriching the environments in which they develop. During my college years I babysat for several families from my church. I would babysit at their homes, but also across campus if they needed a babysitter in a particular area. Most of the kids I cared for were school-aged, but I have also taken care of infants and toddlers. There are several families I cared for during my four years at the College, so I had the opportunity to see kids grow, learn their likes Read more and dislikes, and form a relationship with the families. I have also worked as an Enshin Karate instructor for over 5 years. As an instructor I worked with children ages 4-12. My responsibilities included teaching karate classes and leading the children in active games to play. Throughout these jobs I have had very active communication with parents about their children's well-being and progress. I am flexible and dependable, enthusiastic and optimistic, and absolutely love what I do.
