Hello. I am currently a graduate student at George Mason University and I am a 2010 graduate of Longwood University. I began working with children in 2006, when I volunteered at a local preschool and was eventually offered a position there. I worked there for about a year, until I wasn't able to work there anymore because the hours conflicted with my school schedule. During my time at the preschool, I worked with children ranging from 4 months to 11 years old. I assisted teachers in their classrooms with feeding, nap time, water play, and art projects. I really enjoyed doing the art projects especially the painting and the crafts. I also substituted classes while teachers were out or on vacation. Since then, I have been a pre-kindergarten teacher at a private preschool and a student teacher in an elementary school.
