I have been babysitting since the age of twelve (12) for kids of all types and ages and have always found it to be incredibly rewarding and fun! I'm in the process of finishing my undergraduate education at the University of Virginia and will be taking my final course during a four-week session from mid-July to mid-August. I moved to Richmond from Charlottesville last summer (2015) and have been working locally and commuting to class throughout the year. At the moment I'm working part time in Richmond, helping a friend launch her small business for its first year. This has left me with quite a bit of flexibility schedule-wise, which will continue to be the case at least through the end of the summer (with the exception of my four [4] remaining weeks of class to come). I have extensive coaching experience -- most recently as head coach of the Read more girls JV lacrosse team at Tandem Friends School in Charlottesville for the past two (2) years. I was a head camp counselor for Fundays@Foxcroft (in Middleburg, Virginia, where my family is from) during the summers. I volunteered as a mentor with "Bridging the Gap" through UVA's Madison House. I'm also a certified Red Cross swim instructor and taught private and group lessons to kids aged 3-12 between 2005 and 2012 in Baltimore, Maryland - including children with cognitive disabilities. I'm comfortable assisting with homework, providing transportation, running errands, and even working some swim lessons in...whatever is most helpful! I'm also happy to help with light housework, within reason. I'm big on all kinds of crafting, reading, sports, animals, and the outdoors. I LOVE all kids...I have been lucky enough to make time to work with children in whatever capacity is available to me thus far and would love to continue to do so!
