I am pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology at UVA. I attended Swarthmore College, where I was an honors English and psychology double major. Born in Los Angeles, I have been babysitting for nine years, with a weekly job for six years in middle-high school. I also worked at a preschool for two summers, as well as working at summer camps and tutoring children. From these various experiences, I have worked with all ages and am comfortable with both boys and girls. I also have experience with kids with ASD and ADHD. In college I was a varsity athlete and have a great imagination. Kids seem to gravitate toward me, and I use humor, charm, and acute listening to engage each child as an individual. I also have the ability to get kids to listen and to assert myself as an authority figure, while still being fun and playful.
