I would be an excellent fit for this position because I have a lot of experience working with children from camp settings to babysitting to tutoring. I have been babysitting for years and have held a few consistent nanny jobs where I learned a lot about taking care of and entertaining children for long periods of times and for consecutive days. I have babysat and cared for children ranging from new born babies to middle school aged children. Since in college, I have started tutoring at a local middle school which has given me a lot of insight into the mind of a 7th grader and how she goes about life. I am learning as much from her as she is learning from me. Through U. S. Kids Care, I chaired a few summer camps at the Greenvale School to help brighten the kids’ days and change up their day-to-day Read more routine. As a freshman at UVA, I am currently looking into majors and fields of study that involve children. This past summer I worked for Roanoke City Parks and Recreation at their PLAY Summer Camps. I absolutely loved the experience working with the kids continuously through the whole summer.
