Ever since I can remember I have always enjoyed caring for children, babysitting for parents around the neighborhood. I then felt as though I wanted to be a teacher because of how well I interact with and care for children; therefore, I enrolled in teacher cadet classes my junior and senior year of high school. Junior year, I would go to our intermediate school everyday assisting 3rd-5th graders with special needs. Senior year I was assigned to a kindergarten class. I also teach a youth camp at my church every summer, which I started volunteering for at just 14 years old. I have the ability to connect with children of all ages, creating a bond that promotes mutual respect. I have refined a skill set for teaching and caring for children. Knowing they are our future, it brings me happiness to help them grow.
