I am a rising senior at James Madison University. I will be graduating with an Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts with a minor in Elementary Education in the spring of 2016. I will be earning my masters degree the following year. In the fall of 2014, I completed my requirements for my certification to work with the younger scale of children in elementary school. For the past year I have been volunteering in a Title I first grade math class in Harrisonburg. I have absolutely enjoyed working with them twice a week. Last summer I cared for an 8-month-old boy and an energetic 3 year old. Even though, they no longer need a full time nanny, I do babysit on occasion. Let me tell you a little more about me. I have danced since I was three years old and continue to dance (even in the grocery store). I have grown up Read more in an active family, which includes fishing and hiking. One of the reasons why I love working with kids so much is that they keep me motivated. I truly believe that working with children is the best job on the planet. On this website I have not completed a background check. Throughout my teaching program, I have had to pay for several background checks in order to get into the schools. I have also not mentioned my references in order to protect their privacy. I would be more than happy to meet you if you have any concerns or questions.
