I am 38 years old and have been babysitting/nannying for over 26 years, and am comfortable with children of all ages, as well as pets. I was recently a nanny for two families in Virginia. The first family had a four-year old son that I looked after every Monday from 9:00-3:00 and on an as-needed basis. The second family had an eight-year old son that I helped with homework and tutored after school Tuesday - Friday from 3:30 - 5:30. I am CPR and First Aid certified through the American Red Cross. I also worked for the American Red Cross for three years in Wilmington, North Carolina. I have reliable transportation, a 2013 Honda Fit. She seems great at first. Says all of the things families want to hear. She will get in the middle and cause problems in the family. She became unreliable and incapable of handling the children. Since she has left, the children have had no further issues in school or at home. Just be careful.
