Hi there! I'm Jordann, a full time nanny, part time student, part time dog walker. I am looking for occasional weekend sitting. A bit more about me below. :) I am roughly 6 credits away from my early childcare development certificate. I have one year of day care/ teaching experience; however, I really prefer being a nanny as this is what I have been doing for 4 years now. I am currently a full time nanny M-F for two one year old boys. My childcare philosophy is patience, patience, patience. I take pride in my "slow and steady" behavioral redirection approach. You will never, ever see me frustrated as I trust my process of re-directing behavior before removal from situations. I always give the child a chance to "do it in a happier way". I also implement a lot of song in my work, I try to song and/ or Read more talk my way through the childs day. I set aside time to sing as they play freely for at least 20 minutes a day. Song and speech are imperative parts of a childs growth and development. I believe in working as a team with the families to set goals and find ways to help children reach their next mile stones and develop an appropriate schedule. I also encourage a more Montessori learning approach as I believe children learn most effectively through play. Some art projects (depending on age), out door activities and sensory activities are also implemented throughout the childs day.
