My past experience mainly centers around tutoring and babysitting. I've worked with and watched over children as young as four years old, as well as with older students in middle and high school. Much of my work with younger students focused on playing educational games to encourage them to engage with new and potentially challenging material in positive and fun ways. While tutees were under my care I was also responsible for snack preparation. In terms of baby sitting, I have worked mostly with younger family members and neighbors in my community. In this role I was responsible for meal and snack preparation, entertainment (reading, drawing, fun games, trips to the park, etc.), and pick-ups and drop-offs. I am a very positive role model. In the past I have worked as a volunteer in my community and participated in several one time volunteering events. At school, I am involved in a variety of different activities including writing for on-campus publications, participating in a highly engaged student government, and working with an exciting and diverse sketch comedy group. Some of my interests include baking and trying new recipes, reading, writing, and spending time outdoors. I think that I am a positive role model because I have a wide scope of interests that I am willing and eager to share with others. I began a tutor and eventually babysitter because I love working with children! If hired I can double as both, and work with your kids on mathematics, reading, writing, or French, as well as provide fun game and activities. I am a fun, responsible, and reliable person available to babysit and/or tutor your children for the summer.
