I am the mother of 2 adult children, a boy & a girl. I believe in creating a happy & peaceful environment for children. I raised them in a positive, non-critical, loving home, & they have grown-up to be happy, caring & responsible adults. In college, I studied psychology & took courses such as, Early Childhood Development. I am young at heart & get along well with infants to teens providing a calm & respectful environment for them. I am fun-loving & appreciate the needs of children & I am a very good listener, so I learn about their likes & dislikes, quickly. I am always ready to read or play with them, & enjoy helping, if needed, with homework. I would be happy to drive your child(ren) to their activities. Preparing snacks & meals are no problem. Before becoming a Household Manager/Nanny/Babysitter I worked for The Transportation Security Adm(TSA) Read more & the Dept. of the Navy & have held both a Secret Clearance & a Homeland Security Clearance during the past 30 yrs. As you probably know, that means that I have had separate & extensive background checks for both of these clearances. However, I have also provided you with a background check through this site for your added peace of mind. For the last 17 months I have been employed as a part-time, Monday-Friday (30+) hours per wk (1-7pm) Household Manager for a family of 4, a couple with an 8 & 12 yr old. In this position I provide family activity calendars, grocery shopping, planning meals & preparing dinner for the family, snacks for the children after school, help with homework, transportation to & from activities, straightening up the house, & doing the family's laundry. Although, I am keeping this afternoon/evening position, I am, also, looking for a morning job to replace the one I had until recently. I was working this 2nd job in the morning, Mon-Fri (6-9am) for another family for the last 2+ yrs, until their son aged out of child care. Prior to these 2 jobs I worked full-time (40+ hrs) as a nanny to 4 children, 8, 6, 3, & 20 mos old, from 6am- 6pm Monday-Friday until the school year ended. I will be available in January for a new morning position as a nanny or babysitter.
