Hello! My name is Mary-Alice. I started working with children on my own when I was about 12 years old. I grew up in Short Pump where my mom ran a reputable in-home daycare that is still thriving today. I learned early in life that the relationship between parent, child, and caregiver was a sacred one. I enjoy watching children grow and thrive while hitting developmental milestones. I find it fascinating to work with therapists and doctors to coordinate and carry out care plans. I have a very "child-centered" focus, which means everything I do will be revolving around your child! I enjoy engaging in age appropriate arts and crafts with children of all ages and levels, being creative, being silly, and getting outside. Every child is special and every family is unique, I would love the opportunity to talk more to see if we would be a good fit. Read more More about my experience: I have worked with families with up to 5 children, infants, multiples, even twin infants! I am CPR certified and I have experience with premature infants, severe allergies, special needs (autism, sensory processing disorder, genetic disorders such as chromosomal deletions, Rubinstein Taybi syndrome, apraxia, hypotonia, etc). I enjoy working with therapists, utilizing special diets, administering medicine, monitoring conditions, etc. I love working with all types of families, therapists, and doctors to help collaborate on the needs of the child. Thank you! -Mary Alice
