I'm a HERNDON High & JMU graduate & I prefer jobs in HERNDON, RESTON & STERLING. I'm very happily married, w/twin daughters, age 20 at JMU & I'm a GMU straight "A" grad student working on teacher certification in Teaching English as a Second Language. I graduated from JMU in Int'l Business & French yrs. ago. Born & raised in USA from Upstate NY & Northern VA (to Canadian & British parents). Often kids are bored, therefore, I love reading books to children. I also love arts & crafts, games, photography, walks & nature; laundry, cooking/ baking are no prob for me, too! Also, happy to introduce French, Japanese &/or adv. English (for fun and/or tutoring). Since doing grad studies in ESL, am seeking PT work, to help with all our college expenses. I'm babysitting on occasion for precious families in Reston/ Sterling/ Herndon/Leesburg. I have recent special needs exp., Read more too--plus, ages ago worked 30 hrs. a wk. for 6 mos. in a group home (in a home with challenged LD adults, & secondly, in a home w/ much more independent teens & adults in W. MI; & loved them all!). I also loved to help give my young mom friends, in my Bible study group, a break by babysitting their babies & toddlers in QC City when I lived just south of the city (from 2011 - 2015). I've also lived in W. Africa (3 yrs.) & Japan (5 yrs.--where my husband is from originally!). Am a Christian, w/ PCA denomination. Many refs furnished upon request.

We are so fortunate to have found Cally! She is so easy to work with, accommodating, and responsive. My kids hate visitors but they took to Cally immediately and look forward to her visits! She is good with a variety of personalities and ages - from my difficult 5-year-old, to my needy 1-year-old, she meets each child's needs and is so nurturing that my kids are happy and peaceful when I return! We were especially worried about leaving our autistic child but Cally keeps us updated while we're out and responds quickly to texts. For us, Cally is more than just a babysitter. She is a good friend and a second mom for our kids. We love her!
