Hello! My name is Colleen; I'm a graduate student at Marymount University studying to get my Master's in Forensic & Legal Psychology. My undergraduate degree was in Psychology, and most of my experience has been in the social work and legal fields. I've worked in a daycare caring for ages 0-7, and for adults with disabilities living independently (I hired/organized their staff and health services). I've worked in basic customer service in a managerial role, and for the Loudoun County Youth Shelter. In the course of these jobs, I've navigated the extremes of behavior and backgrounds and challenges; but most of all, I've loved each and every one of them. I've been certified in CPR and First Aid, and have restraint training (taught only in response to a county-sanctioned behavioral support plan, or as a response to a potentially dangerous situation). I tutored grades 4 and 5 while getting my Read more undergraduate degree, and even wrote and published 6th grade English curriculum through the company. I have two much younger brothers, aged 15 and 16, that I frequently discuss the facts of life with. My boyfriend has a tiny, disney princess toddler that likes to have rock-climbing-in-a-gown adventures. I am comfortable with a broad range of ages, personalities, and challenges. If there is ever something unfamiliar to me or my professional experience, I am the first to inquire and learn. Thank you for your consideration!
