I am a 20 year old college student with 2 younger cousins, one is 10 and the other is an infant. I love spending time with them, especially when we get to do creative projects, or things that involve learning and "doing." I am not a big fan of sitting around; I enjoy activities and hands-on experiences including crafts, outdoor activities, and games. I have experience as both a student teacher and as the head of a program that mentors local children with difficult home lives. In that program I was responsible for creating lessons and activities that would be fun and enriching and provide children with tools that they could use to be successful in the future. Learning is my life's passion and I love to share that with others. I study geography and understand that learning opportunities occur everyday and everywhere. The world is ours to explore and Read more our children are the future keepers of this world, therefore I believe that it is crucial that we prepare them as well as we can with fun and educational activities that will open their eyes to the world around them. I also firmly believe that every individual has gifts and that we should take interest in what our children care about. I am happy to work with those interests whether they lead to studies of animals or baking or anything in between! I look forward to the opportunity to share my love of learning and the world around us with your children.
