Hi, My name is Courtney Brewer and I was raised in a large family. I only have 1 sibling, but my stepdad has 12, so I have been looked after by older cousins since the day he started dating my mom. The most children I have ever been in charge of at once is 10. I work a lot of camps in the summer, mostly sports camps, but all with children ages 5-16. I love children and I currently have none of my own, but I hope to one day. I have a godson and I'm so thankful that responsibility to help shape and guide him through life was given to me. I have a lot of friends who are older and even close in age to me that have children. Sometimes I enjoy going home to see their kids more than I enjoy whatever plans I may have with Read more them. I even offer to watch their little ones, so they can enjoy a little time alone or with their spouse. Who doesn't want to pause time and hang out with a child for a few hours?? They're the funniest and most honest people I know! :) I have done a lot of pet sitting, house sitting, and babysitting growing up and I enjoy it. A) It helps pay for my education and my bills, but more importantly, B) The pure innocence, constant curiosity, fun spirit, and eagerness to learn and be accepted by an adult makes it all worth it. I try to mimic how my cousins treated me. I understand I am not their parent, but simply their guardian who treats them like family and wants nothing but the best for them. My job is to watch over them and protect them, help them with homework, make sure their chores get done and then we can have fun. I may have no professional training in being a babysitter, but I have a lot of love in my heart and know that's really all a child needs. Thank you for reading my profile!
