Being around children and watching them learn and grow makes me immensely happy, and I can't imagine doing anything else with my life. I am currently a Vanderbilt student in pursuit of a degree in Cognitive Studies so that I may one day find a career working in pediatric medicine. I volunteer at a preschool in Nashville where there are many children who have various developmental or intellectual disabilities, so I am versatile when it comes to special needs children. I also work on the childcare staff at a local church. I've been babysitting a much younger brother since I was 6, and other children since I was 12. I was a lifeguard for 4 years so I received certifications in first aid and CPR. I live in Richmond, Virginia during the summers when I'm back from college and am looking for a job to occupy my time.
