I started babysitting at the age of 13 for my dad. At that time there were only 2 kids, ages four and seven. When we realized how patient I was an how much I enjoyed it, he added his friends kids. Ages five and seven. At that time the 5 year old had ADHD. I still had no problems with all four kids and one time. Then came my two youngest siblings. Four children, one toddler, and one infant and I was loving life. There is nothing more in this world I love more than children. I took a CPR certification that just expired this year, which included both adult and infant CPR. I've never had a child get severely injured while under my careful eye, nothing more than a skinned knee. I'm great at making their favorite foods, playing their favorite games, and being interactive with them. Most babysitters Read more put on the TV and have them watch, that's too easy and doesn't teach them. I prefer the outdoor stuff. Hide and Seek, Tag, or even just running around. Being outside is great for kids and as long as the weather is nice, that's where I like to be. I've been a babysitter for 6 going on 7 years now. I haven't had any bundles of joy recently because I moved away from the parents I babysat for. I am energetic, creative, and over all just fun to be with. I took two classes in high school while I lived in Wisconsin. One was called "ABC" which stood for "All 'Bout Children". That is where we learned about SBS, SIDS, really just the basics. The next year I took "ITD" which stood for Infant Toddler Development. Here we learned about all the little ways children grow and develop into wonderful people. During this class we learned about ways to teach kids things and activities that are not only fun but educational. The second half of this class we were divided among 4 daycare centers. I was willingly place with the infants. My favorite age to baby sit is 0-3yrs. But I love all kids.
