I am currently enrolled in Virginia Wesleyan College studying to become a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist working with special needs children. In high school, I was in an Education Careers program which gave me certification to be a teachers assistant in Charles County Public Schools. I have 6 years experience of working in 2 childcares for ages 6weeks-12yrs old as a teachers assistant. Especially with ages between 2-5. I currently work at St. Marys Home for Disabled Children as a DSP1. This job has given me the experience to work with children who have severe disabilities. I do recreational activities with children and provide different forms of personal care. I have passion and patience for working with children and truly love seeing them grow into beings I know they can be.
