Hi, my name is Des Giannopoulos and I study sociology at ODU. I am currently looking for babysitting jobs. I have always had a passion for children since I was little. I have been babysitting since I was in middle school (newborns-12 year olds). In high school I was a preschool teacher as a class for a local high school, which I did that my Junior and senior year. I also participated in the "Teachers For Tomorrow" class my senior year where I did an internship with a kindergarten class at a local elementary school. I am a very responsible, energetic, reliable, caring, warm, friendly, and outgoing person. I hope to one day become a school counselor.

Des was wonderful with our two kids. We have a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old. My 4 yr old didn't want her to leave and asked for her to come back and play! Des was on time and did exactly what I asked her to do while I had an appointment. I do not leave my kids often so it was very hard to leave them, but Des's sweet personality helped. I would highly recommend her and have her come back again!

Des has only been to our house once so far, but she was great and is coming back again this week. She came and served as a mother's helper for me...she played with my kids downstairs while I did some chores around the house. My two kids, ages 2 and 4, loved her and were quite sad that she wasn't spending the night! She was very easy to contact via phone or this site. She contacted me to confirm our appointment and she was on time and she left her phone and personal items by our front door, so she was focused on my kids the whole time and kept them active and engaged. She also made sure to help the kids clean up their toys. I would recommend her based on our experience so far!
