I am a long time preschool teacher with a Early Childhood Education degree. I'm back in school currently working on my credential to teach k-3rd grade. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I've literally spend my entire life working with little ones, as a teacher, nanny, friend, and Mother.

We are so lucky we found Amy! I had a week of out of town and my husband works from home, so we needed someone to get our kindergartener off the bus and either take him to scheduled activities or keep him busy until 5ish. Amy is patient and thoughtful, always showed up with some interesting new toy that my son could tinker with a bit and she and her son Jack kept him smiling and laughing all week. I would highly highly recommend her - a mom, a teacher, creative and patient - your kids will probably love her.

I do not usually leave my daughter with a sitter, so I was nervous doing so. I had to attend a meeting in Richmond, and I found Amy via this site and after talking to one of her references, I felt comfortable choosing her. Amy agreed to meet me the day prior to the sitting job so that my daughter could meet her a day in advance. After meeting Amy, I felt very good about my choice. She talked about the activities she might do with my daughter, and it was just obvious that she loves kids and is kind and caring. On the actual day of the sitting, Amy texted me to let me know how my daughter was doing. Included in this was a photo in which my daughter was very happy. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would recommend Amy to anyone who was looking for a sitter.
