I believe in learning through play, that boundaries are important, and understand the importance of consistency for children. I enjoy coordinating outings, whether it's a picnic, going to the park, museum trips - anything to keep kids active and entertained. I also like indoor activities such as baking, board games, and arts and crafts. I have my own reliable transportation and would like to find a family with children that I can apply what I have learned through all of my child care positions and through my training to help not only care for a child's basic needs, but to contribute to their own personal goals, self-esteem, and personal growth. I've cared for children of all ages in both home and professional environment. My child care experience started at a young age as my aunt owned and operated her own daycare in which I would help out. I then started Read more babysitting and continued to do so throughout junior high and high school. In college, I was a part-time nanny for a family with two boys aged 3 and 5 and then obtained a position providing in-home therapy for children on the Autism spectrum and am trained in ABA. Additionally, I have nanny experience providing care for a 5-month-old boy and then for a family with a 2-year-old girl and a newborn baby boy. Most recently I have been caring for an energetic, playful, and eager to learn little girl who just turned two. As summer is upon us, she and her family will be taking several vacations and I'd like to pick up some extra babysitting and even quite possibly fill my Tuesdays and Thursdays which will become available in June.
