I am a fun and kind not-so-recent-anymore college grad and an uncle for five nieces and nephews. Although I studied at a fancy college, bright-eyed and wanting to solve the world's problems, I graduated with a degree in disappointment, economics and philosophy. I worked as an accountant at a marketing company after a stint competing with traffic to deliver warm cookies to the sweet tooths of NYC. My greatest joy was fostering and helping adopt kittens and cats through a local non-profit. I moved back to Virginia after three years and worked on a horse farm as a nightwatchman and a midwife but for horses. It is hard to put into words the feeling of bringing a new life into this world then nursing the foals that nature seemed to curse. Besides caring for the farm animals, I have been able to spend more time being the fun uncle. I Read more have some sense of responsibility to play with the two older boys and three girls, but that feeling is outshone by the actual enjoyment I have being with them and kids in general. I love being outside with them - riding bikes, playing sports, hiking and pretending with them. After a tiring day, I enjoy reading stories. I have little experience being a 'professional' caregiver, but I know my time tending to animals and babysitting my nieces and nephews is a foundation to continue caring and helping anyway I can.
