Greetings! My name is Kate, and I've been working with children for about five years now - Mostly in daycare settings. I've recently started nannying, and I enjoy the experience a lot more! I already have a client I work with until noon on weekdays, but would like to find babysitting/nannying opportunities for the afternoon/evening hours during the week as well. I have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as both a Regular and Advanced Career Studies Certificate in Early Childhood Education. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I am not MAT certified, but I am comfortable administering medication to children as per the instructions on the container/direction of the parents. My experience with children is mostly at the younger ages [infants through two's], however I have worked with children of all ages, and feel comfortable doing so. Depending on the age of the child, I Read more have several books, toys, and activities that I bring along with me when working. I am comfortable creating/filling out a Daily Sheet - As I've had to do so for yars in daycare settings - And responsibilities such as feeding/tummy-time/diapering/toilet-training do not bother me at all. I'm familiar with many different feeding/diapering methods, but would prefer to be walked through the specifics of how you would like your child cared for at least once. I like to fall into a flexible schedule while working with children, alternating between reading, outdoor play, art, and so forth. Normally, the child will dictate the change in activity, and settle into a routine of their own over the first few days. I simply facilitate the learning and safety aspects of whatever activity they choose. For very young children, I still incorporate various sensory, motor, and language activties into their routine.
