I am a full time student at George Washington university and a mother of two kids, an almost 4 and 6 year old. I am looking to do some babysitting over winter break (dec. 16 to Jan. 16th) and possibly over next summer or occassionally during the school year. I can either come to your home or babysit in mine, but my children will be with me most of the time. I'm also very comfortable with (and love!) young babies, and familiar with cloth diapers and baby wearing. In an infant only situation (no older children) I would prefer to provide care in my own home simply so my children have access to toys, etc... I live right across from a park (by the science focus school in Arlington), and am comfortable going on adventures, running errands, etc... If you have a larger vehicle I have a clean driving record and I'm a nut about proper carseat installation! I am generally laid back with kids, tending to allow a lot of child led unstructured play. We do watch TV/screen time (tablet) but I am happy to respect screen rules if you have a preference. I am happy to help with homework/tutoring. My references aren't posted to the site, but I'm happy to provide them if you're interested. I haven't done as much babysitting since having my own children, but I have experience with daycare center childcare as well as one on one babysitting and can provide general employment references.
