I began my childcare experience with camp counseling (summer of 2010-2012) at my local church my freshman year of high school. Here I worked for an hourly wage as the Head of the Games and Activities department. In this capacity I provided instruction and demonstration of new and exciting games for approximately 6 hours a day in the months of July and August. It is often times hard for young children to be separated from their parents however I was able to help them to enjoy themselves with my energetic and charismatic personality; two traits that have helped my development as a caretaker. At the end of these camps, I would often have parents asking me to babysit their child because they enjoyed my energy so much. I also have experience as a P.E.E.R Educator (2013-2014) where I served as one Park View high schools Ambassadors to the 6 elementary Read more and middle schools in our area. Through the P.E.E.R program I was able to guide and mentor a young student at each of those schools for 5 hours per week. This helped too develop a more serious side to my care taking abilities. Although I still needed that same energy to help inspire my little buddies, I had to keep him or her focused and dedicated to finding solutions to problems in their school work and/or home. These two Experiences make a most qualified candidate for this position.
