I am an 18 year old who has battled autism and anxiety my entire life. I have overcome a lot to get to where I am at now. It has become a passion to work with children who might need a little extra care, love or attention. My father was the senior pastor of a church for 3 years and I took over the children's program there at 14, growing the children's program from 4 to about 20. I am also the only one entrusted to watch a good friend's son who has autism, as they know I can handle the situations that may come up, such as melt downs and fears. For the last year and a half, my aunt and 2 year old cousin have lived with my family and I. I babysat my cousin while my aunt worked and when my aunt was diagnosed with cancer late Read more last year, I became a primary caregiver. I have helped potty train her, break her off the bottle and pacifier, we are learning colors, numbers and her alphabet, I am in charge of bath time, dinner time and nap time. Now that my aunt has went into remission, I am ready to get into the real world and gain some work experience. I do not hold an infant or child CPR, but I can obtain it easily. I am easily adaptable to every family and every child and their specific needs.
