I really enjoy spending time with kids and think they enjoy spending time with me so am looking for some opportunities to babysit occasionally. I am employed full-time, single without my own children, and all the children in my life live too far away for regular play-time. I have past babysitting experience with children of all ages. Part-time/summer work in child care centers and volunteer work in Head Start when I was in high school and college led me to pursue a degree in public policy analysis for the purpose of building a career as a researcher specializing in early care and education policy. I don't have any formal child development training or certifications but have learned a lot about child development and effective practice with children over the course of my career and through my babysitting/child care work experience.
