To tell you a little bit about myself, when I was 14 I had to step up to the plate and take care of my siblings. Since then, I have worked in day cares, taught at summer camps, baby sat, and at one point I was a live-in and a live-out Nanny. I am a loving, caring, outgoing and patient person, and I am very active. I have 3 years of experience with infants. I love children and when I am married and financially stable I plan to have 5-8 of my own. I love helping parents with their children. I enjoy being having fun with children so the more the better. I believe children can have fun while learning. I love painting, playing sports and dancing. If a child doesn't respect you, they rarely listen to you. I don't believe in anger, violence, or threats to force children into behaving, most children just want to feel like you respect them. They want individual, one on one attention that makes them feel that you understand them. To me, that's the trick in a multiple child household. My nickname used to be the baby whisperer and I think that is because children respond instinctively to my nurturing and positive energy lol. I have found over the years that using my upbeat and outgoing personality makes it possible to get children to complete tasks that they may not want to do or would resist if it is presented to them in a more stern fashion. I have an ability to establish emotional connections with people very quickly which has allowed me not only to determine the emotional needs of the children I care for but also helps me be in tune with the needs of the family and offer assistance or suggestions when appropriate.
