I am the spouse of an active duty military member and the mother of three children (now teenagers!). I have worked with groups of children teaching Sunday school, directing a children's choir, and assisting with children's theatre. I am warm, kind, and nurturing, but I am also no pushover! I love to bring out the imaginations in children by building blanket forts, playing with blocks, going on walks, reading stories, and making up silly songs. When chores need to be done, homework, or bedtime comes around, I know how to gently guide kids so that they feel a sense of ownership and pride in their tasks and responsibility for self-care. I can cook meals, do light housekeeping, and I am trained in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. I hope I can help you with your childcare needs!
