My name is Monique Mallory and I am currently in the process of leaving my full-time job as an in-home, mental health, and crisis counselor. As I complete my M.Ed in counseling and development, concentrating in community agency counseling, and interning at an alternative school I am looking to nanny during after school hours and anytime during the summer months. I have and continue to work with children in various capacities and serve populations from ages 2-18 as: mentor, youth leader, baby-sitter, child care counselor at a group home (1 year), in-home counseling (5 years), tutor (1 year; middle and high school), and currently at an alternative school (since January). My passion lies within the family unit and the development of children. As an in-home counselor, I was afforded the opportunity to work hands on in the home with families with difficult children. I have experience with diagnosis including: adhd, Read more bipolar, oppositional defiant, anxiety, depression, attachment, and borderline personality. I also have experience in parenting training and is CPR and First Aid certified. At my current job and intern placement, I am recognized for my clinical skills, passion, service excellence, empathy, enthusiasm, and calming demeanor when interacting with families and children. I am person-centered, so I am able to adjust and become flexible to serve your home the way it works for your home.
