My career has taken a rather circuitous route leading to where I am today. With a degree in Criminology (emphasis on crisis intervention), I worked for many years as a counselor in group homes and emergency shelter facilities for children 6 - 18. Eventually, I chose to stay home and focus on raising my own two children. We lived in Alaska where we spent many adventurous years exploring, hiking, skiing, camping, etc. I worked as a volunteer in their respective classrooms, taught a weekly class for students in the "gifted" program, and coached/managed both my children's soccer teams. Throughout the years I owned a successful retail business, which eventually evolved into a career in merchandise company of music artists' licensed product for tour, retail, licensing, and e-commerce world distribution. I recently retired as V.P. of Operations for Warner Music Group leaving behind offices in Los Angeles, NYC, and Nashville to Read more move closer to my son in Burlington Vermont. He is founder and director of Crow's Path, a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting people of all ages to the natural world, of which I serve as a board member. It brings me closer to my first love - that is working with children. With the patience of a grandmother, the wisdom from working with children of all ages, both professionally and personally, and the adventurous spirit of an inner child that never grows old, I would like to provide ACTIVE care for your kids. I am not a babySITTER.
