My passion has always been to work with children. In December of 2014, I graduated with my degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in psychology. Within two weeks of graduating, I started working at Holland Elementary School as the 4th/5th grade teacher! My experience does not end there I have worked in a variety of different educational settings, as well as,a range in age of students. In the fall of 2013, I worked in a kindergarten classroom. I worked individually with students, in small groups and taught a couple whole lesson. During my time in Eden Central School I participated in the same way; however, I taught my whole group lessons. At Newport Town I worked with individuals, small groups, whole group lessons, aid in planning, attend in-services, meetings and after school events. I have also worked in preschool and daycare settings. While I was in college, during the Read more summers I worked at Mountain Village School. This is a preschool and daycare for children ranging from 6 weeks to 6 years and I worked with all the age levels. I also tutored with the American Reads Program, which is a programs that promotes reading and was a mentor 7 year old for 2 years at the Cambridge Elementary School. I also participated in a three week Mother Goose Program at the Johnson Public Library, during which I interacted with families with children ranging from the age of one to six. I was a judge at the Vermont Odyssey of the Mind tournament in the spring of 2012. This program encourages children to be creative in their responses and learn how to problem-solve on their own. While I was in highschool I also planned and presented a Healthy Kids Initiative Program for my Silver Award in Girl Scouts. I am always working with children. I love their fun, loving spirit and to watch them grow and learn!
