My husband and I recently moved from Connecticut to Enosburg Falls, Vermont where he has accepted a new job. I am working part-time at an In-Home Daycare in Swanton. We are happy to finally settle down as we were only in Connecticut for 10 months. While there, I worked as a Lead Toddler Teacher with Bright Horizons- Fairfield. I enjoyed this work environment and learned a great deal from their emergent curriculum style of teaching. Before relocating to Connecticut, we lived in New Hampshire where I was a full-time nanny to a beautiful family with four children. When I began, the twins were 7 months old, their older sister was 6 years old, and their older brother was 9 years old. While my primary focus was to care for the children, when the babies were asleep or otherwise taken care of, I preformed household chores such as cooking, cleaning, Read more doing laundry, etc. I love this family like they are my own and I thoroughly enjoyed helping their children through the many milestones we experienced together from walking, talking, potty training, and eating with a spoon to the milestones experienced with the older children such as better reading comprehension skills and improved interpersonal and sports skills. I moved to New Hampshire after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University in the spring of 2013. While completing my four years of undergrad at Penn State, I was a year-round nanny for a handful of families with children ranging from infancy to preschool age. I double majored in Immunology and Toxicology with a research focus and spent my hours that were not in the classroom or with children, in the lab. In addition, while I was at Penn State I completed a number of Human Development and Family Studies courses along with a few Biobehavioral Health classes that enlightened me further on childhood development. My husband and I do not have children of our own yet, but we greatly anticipate being parents one day. In the meantime, I hope to help a local family out by serving as their nanny and/or work in a nearby daycare center. In addition, through the VCCICC program I am continuing to take ECE (Early Childhood Education) courses at the Community College of Vermont. Thank you.

Rachel has been with us for 1 year. She is an extremely caring and responsible. She will be moving so we are incredibly sad to see her go. She has done a wonderful job caring for our 4 children ages 10, 7 and 2 year old twins. Always helpful with everything. Very dependable and trustworthy. If she were ever to come back to the area, we would take her back in a heartbeat!!!
