I grew up in Renton Washington, just south of Seattle. I started babysitting at a young age. My favorite elementary school teacher trusted me with her children at age 10. I've been babysitting since then for many different families of children of all ages. I've been CPR certified 3 times since then. (Since it expires every 2 years) I took a babysitter class at age 11. Then in 9th grade I took an exploring childhood class, where I learned a little about early childhood education and worked in the pre-school as part of the class. I then learned what I wanted to do with the rest of my life and that was to be an elementary school teacher. The next year I took careers with children, where I learned more about learning and teaching others and we actually left the high school to go and help out at an elementary Read more school. By this time I was 16 and got my first job working at my church as a nursery assistant. I'd watch over the children from ages 0-9 during the Sunday morning services. We'd play games and color! Then I wanted a job that got me more hours so I could buy my first car. So i got a job at a clothing store called Plato's Closet. That was the start of my retail career. I left my job at my church. I began to babysit less and started working for Plato's more. I worked there for almost 2 years. By the ninth month of me working there, they made me a Key Holder at age 17. I worked there for a little while longer and got a second job at Forever 21 for only the holidays in 2015. FAST FORWARDING to 2016! I left Plato's Closet to go work at Bath and Body Works as a Key Holder. (Yes I have a closet full of body care, hand soaps, and of course candles) Then I graduated from Kentridge High School in June 2016. I moved up to Bellingham to attend Western Washington University and major in education. I even transferred to the Burlington Bath and Body Works. After about a week of working there I realized that isn't why I came here. I came to Bellingham to major in education and at some point become a teacher and then get a master’s degree in administration. I love working with Children. It makes my day a little brighter whenever a little kid comes into Bath and Body Works and I distract them by letting them smell hand sanitizers while their mother shops. I want to gain more experience working with children. I can't wait to get in touch with you. And I look forward to meeting your family.
