Dear Family, I am a charismatic and dependable 25 year old female looking for a babysitting position and hoping to do so with a wonderful family such as yours. I look forward to getting to know you and starting a new adventure together! I am a college student at WSUVancouver studying psychology, criminal justice, and political science. Before returning back to university, I worked three years in Paris, France as an au pair to four wonderful children and 6 months in Spain as an au pair to two boys. Before my work in Europe, I was a live-in nanny for a family with a one year old baby. In total, I have about 9 years of paid babysitting/nanny experience. I accomplish this through maintaining a child-friendly environment with fun educational activities and continuous engagement in outdoor and indoor activities. In addition to my childcare related jobs I enjoy volunteering. While in high school, I volunteered at a local elementary school as a teacher’s assistant in 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms. There I helped children with their school work, aided them in learning, and also played with them during recess. At the elementary school I also volunteered as a reading specialist and helped children of all ages learn to read. In 2012, I volunteered at an orphanage in Guatemala for two weeks. In 2013, I participated in hurricane Katrina relief work as well. Most recently, I volunteered in a 5th grade classroom at a local elementary school once a week as part of my university's College Access Program. I believe my experience and skills make me a reliable candidate who will effectively aid in your child’s development.
