Hi! I am a recent graduate with a Elementary Education degree from University of Portland. I love children of all ages, and have experience with infants-12yrs. Recently, I have had a lot of experience with elementary-age children, working as a substitute teacher for the Edmonds school district. In 2012-2016 I did field experience for my Education degree at University of Portland. I have completed about 200 hours of experience working with K-5th graders. I student taught full time in Kindergarten and part time in 3rd grade. I also did volunteer work at an after-school program, where I tutored and spent time with elementary age kids. I worked at a daycare in Edmonds with ages 1-5 for 2 summers, and nannyed for two families regularly, as well as other families occasionally. I enjoy one-on-one time with children, but I have also had a lot of experience with groups of children. I enjoy Read more being active with kids--being outdoors, going to the park, playing games and sports, doing crafts, or special outings such as the zoo, aquarium, or science center. I am reliable, flexible, trustworthy, and caring, which makes me a good candidate for both long term care, and short-notice/date night care. I am always willing to babysit on short notice if I'm available. Previous families have said they like me because I have a calm demeanor, I am happy, reliable, genuine, and caring. Children have enjoyed they time I have with them, saying I am fun to play with, kind, and calm. I have had three experiences as an au pair-one in Iceland and two in Australia. The families had children ranging from 9 months- 7 years old. I loved each of the families and had wonderful experiences! In May 2018, I will be leaving again to go teach in Thailand. Until I leave for that, I am searching for evening/weekend babysitting jobs or short term jobs. I love kids of all ages, and my focus is children ages 0-6.
