Hi! My name is Shannon. I'm 28 years old and I love working with children. I've been working with younger children (12 and under) since I was 12. Experiences include, Church nursery and Sunday School, babysitting, Mothers of Preschoolers program, Nannying, teaching beginner piano lesson, practicum, and student teaching. I am the middle of 3 children. I was homeschooled until 11th grade when I started Running Start at the local Community College. I graduated in 2006 with my High School Diploma and my AA in Early Childhood Education. I was born and raised in Chehalis, WA. My family is relatively small, but I have many friends with large families (my best friend of 16 years has 10 siblings), so I am comfortable around few or many children. . I have strong Christian beliefs and morals. I do not require that you be a Christian, but think it fair that you know I am. I Read more have no intention of pushing my beliefs on you or your children, but it is part of who I am, and I don't intend to keep it hidden. I graduated from CWU-Des Moines in June 2013 with my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I have taken many child development classes, had 3 different classroom intern experiences, worked as a substitute for a year and a full time 3rd grade teacher for 2 years. I would be more than happy to tutor elementary age children in reading, writing, math, or anything else they might need help in. I just got married in July 2016 and we are expecting our first precious little bundle of joy in August 2017. I am hoping to find a childcare job that will allow me to take care of my own while also caring for yours.

I didn't think I could find such an amazing Nanny, I didn't really even know what I was looking for, but it was Shannon! She is fantastic with young children, she is personable, extremely reliable, keeps kids active, on schedule and keeps communication lines open! She had set such a high bar for our childcare expectations. Any family would be beyond lucky to call her their Nanny.
