Hello, I am a graduate at Biola University. I have had intermediate experience with babysitting. Growing up, I babysat for my neighbors on a weekly/daily basis. For one family in our neighborhood, each week I would babysit their daughter and son while the parents were at their Bible study group. I babysat for this family for about 3 years. Their children were about 3 and 5 when I started. I also have babysat for another family for the past 8 years. I started babysitting for this family when I was in high school when their first daughter was born and I continued on until their next daughter was born a few years later. Initially my mother supervised and taught me how to properly babysit and take care of children, especially newborns. But after a while I was able to handle it myself and babysit completely on my own. In 2014, Read more I attended school in California, this prevented me from being able to babysit regularly. However, I still babysat for this family occasionally during summer, winter and spring breaks. I also have led groups at Vacation Bible School at my church in high school. I was leading a group of 7-10 kids through crafts, snack time, storytelling and other fun events. As a leader, I needed to make sure that all the kids were safely following instructions, were not straying off, were properly fed, had proper bathroom breaks and were having fun.
