Im 21 years old, w/ an associates degree in psychology, taking online courses w/ G.P.A of 3.59. I decided to take on online courses so I could work and make some money. I am trusting, loyal, outgoing & a very, very caring person. I can provide references I have cared for two families through care.com, a little history about it, the first family was located in Prosser and in time I had to be driving to Pasco for college and she was an on-call nurse, so it just didn’t work out for me.I recently moved to tricities. I have a lot of experience caring for children, I have a huge family so babysitting was common for me, family, family friends. I can work with children of all ages, from 0-14+, I have about 7-8 years of babysitting experience. I love to expose kids to creative activities to allow them to Read more express themselves. I like to sing with them, dance, play, board games, mandatory school time every other day depending on their age either that or every day for 30 mins... kids tend to drift off knowing they are at home and not school!We practice a letter a day, on to numbers & later to form words.I find different ways to challenge them depending on their interests and strengths and weaknesses. I see this as more than a job, I treat them as if they are my family, I love to make sure they have a good time but also discipline, let them know what’s ok and what’s not, constant reminders of how to be polite and thankful. I do believe in being firm and strict when they do something wrong or decide to throw fits. Of course my rules will be formed after I know what’s acceptable from the parent(s), it really depends on each family. I make sure kids know they are loved and cared about by giving lots of hugs, smiles, and making them laugh I like to build strong relationships so the transitioning is much easier and their happiness increases!! Anyway, transportation isn’t an issue, I am licensed with only one speeding ticket over a year ago last May besides that I have a clean record and will consent to a background check!
